3D printing in Chertsey
Chertsey sits a couple of miles from our workshop, close enough that a part can come off the printer in the morning and be at your door by lunchtime. We print functional parts to order: replacement clips, brackets, fittings and one-off designs. You pay for the filament, the electricity and a small contribution to machine upkeep, never for printing time, and orders from £10 include delivery.
What we print for Chertsey
The jobs we most enjoy are the ones nobody stocks any more. Chertsey has its share of classic cars kept running in garages, caravans that tour every summer and boats moored along the Thames, and all three come with the same problem: a small plastic part that broke, was discontinued years ago, and is now holding up everything else. Dashboard trim, window winders, cupboard catches, vent surrounds, fairlead covers, the clip that stops a panel rattling.
Most of these can be redrawn from the broken original, or from measurements and photos if the original is long gone, then printed in a material suited to the job: something UV-stable for a deck fitting, something tougher than the original for a bracket that has already failed once. Our printers handle everything from a fingernail-sized clip to a full vent panel. If yours is the sort of part people say you can't get any more, it's probably exactly what we do.
A couple of miles up the road
Chertsey is about as local as our work gets, the old market town by the Thames is a few minutes from the workshop, with junction 11 of the M25 practically on its doorstep.
Common questions
Can you recreate a broken part?
Often, yes. If you can send us the pieces, or good measurements and photos, we can usually redraw the part and print a replacement, frequently in a tougher material than the original. Where the design work is genuinely complex we'll say so and quote for it up front, so there are no surprises. One caveat: we only print things you have the right to print.
What materials can you print?
PLA, PETG, TPU and ABS/ASA are all in regular use, and we can order engineering filaments in for jobs that need them. If you're not sure what a part should be made from, just describe what it has to survive, heat, sunlight, load, weather, and we'll recommend something. That advice costs nothing.
