3D printing in Woking
You pay for filament, electricity and a small contribution towards machine upkeep, never for printing time, and the £10 minimum order includes standard UK delivery. Send over a file, a sketch or a photo of the part, and we'll tell you plainly what it costs and whether printing is the right way to make it.
What we print for Woking
Woking is the commercial end of our patch, a big office district, plenty of smaller firms around it, and fast trains to Waterloo, so the work that comes from there leans practical. Jigs and fixtures that hold a part steady while someone assembles or tests it. Prototype housings and brackets that need to exist before Thursday's meeting. Short production runs of ten or fifty pieces, where paying for injection-mould tooling would be absurd.
The pricing suits that sort of work. Because you pay for material and electricity rather than machine hours, twenty brackets cost roughly twenty times one bracket, no setup fee, no tooling charge, no penalty for small quantities. Our machines handle everything from quick concept models to tough functional parts, and when a batch needs several of them running at once, that's what they're for. Send a STEP file, a drawing or even a photograph, and we'll take it from there.
Down the road in Woking
Woking is the biggest town near us in that direction, and a short enough hop that parts sometimes arrive by hand rather than by post. It's also where H.G. Wells landed his Martians, which the town marks with a large tripod statue in the centre, proof, if any were needed, that Woking takes unusual manufacturing in its stride.
Common questions
Can you do more than one?
Yes. Plenty of what we make is a one-off, but small production runs sit happily alongside them, ten pieces, fifty, more if the job warrants it. Batches are priced the same honest way as everything else: filament, electricity and a small upkeep contribution, never printing time, whether we're making one part or a hundred.
What materials can you print?
PLA and PETG cover most work. We also print TPU where a part needs to flex and ABS or ASA where heat or weather is involved, and engineering filaments, carbon-fibre blends and the like, can be brought in on special order. Not sure what your part needs? Ask. Advice is free, and we'll point you at the cheapest material that will actually do the job.
Tell us what you need.
A file, a link, a photo of the broken thing, whatever you've got. We'll come back with an honest price: filament, electricity and a little upkeep. Never a charge for printing time.
