3D printing in Kingston upon Thames
Seven miles or so separate Kingston upon Thames from our workshop, and a fair amount of what we print makes that short trip. We're a one-person 3D printing service in Weybridge: you pay for the filament, the electricity and a small contribution to machine upkeep, and never for printing time. Orders start at £10, which includes standard UK delivery.
What we print for Kingston upon Thames
Kingston has a university, a big retail centre and a steady supply of people making things, which shapes what lands in our inbox. Students send coursework models, architecture massing studies, product design prototypes, engineering brackets that need to survive a crit. We print them in the material the project actually calls for and post them back before the deadline, not after.
Startups and small firms use us for early prototypes: a case for a circuit board, a fixture for testing, three versions of the same part to find out which one is right. There's no tooling cost and no minimum beyond the £10 order, so iterating stays cheap.
Shops and market traders ask for display pieces, risers, stands, holders for awkward stock. If you'd rather start from something ready-made, our catalogue has printable designs you can order directly.
A neighbour, more or less
Kingston sits on the same river we do, the Thames passes Weybridge on its way downstream, and while the royal borough is technically Greater London, it has always faced Surrey. It's close enough that small jobs often arrive the day after they come off the printer, and sometimes sooner.
Common questions
What does it cost?
You pay for the filament your part uses, the electricity the printer draws and a small contribution towards machine upkeep, never for printing time. The minimum order is £10, and that includes standard UK delivery. There's a fuller explanation of how pricing works on our home page.
Do I need my own 3D file?
No. A link to a design on MakerWorld, Printables or Thingiverse is fine, and so is a photo or a plain description of what you're after. If a part needs proper design work, that may be charged, but it's always quoted and agreed up front, before anything gets printed.
Tell us what you need.
A file, a link, a photo of the broken thing, whatever you've got. We'll come back with an honest price: filament, electricity and a little upkeep. Never a charge for printing time.
