3D printing in Guildford
Guildford sits about twelve miles south of our Weybridge workshop, near enough that a finished part can often be on its way the day it comes off the printer. We print prototypes, replacements and one-off parts for Surrey's county town, and the pricing is simple: you pay for filament, electricity and a small machine-upkeep contribution, never for printing time. Orders start at £10, standard UK delivery included.
What we print around Guildford
Guildford is a university town, between the University of Surrey and its research park, there's no shortage of people nearby with an engineering project on the go. Prototyping is where a small print farm earns its keep: an idea sketched on Monday can be a physical part by Tuesday, tested, revised and printed again before the week is out. And because you only pay for filament, electricity and a small upkeep contribution, never for printing time, iterating is cheap. Printing three versions of a bracket to find the one that actually fits costs a few pounds, not a tooling budget.
Alongside the prototype work sits the usual steady mix: replacement clips and housings, jigs and fixtures, enclosures for electronics, and one-off parts that were never sold separately in the first place. If you'd like to see the machines at work before you send anything over, our live workshop feed runs whenever the printers do.
A note on the hill
Guildford does like a slope, the cobbled High Street climbs steeply enough to count as exercise, and the cathedral watches over it all from its own hill.
Common questions
What materials can you print?
PLA and PETG cover most jobs; TPU handles anything flexible, and ABS or ASA suit parts that live outdoors or near heat. Engineering filaments are available on special order. If you're not sure what your part needs, just describe what it has to do, advice is free, and we'd rather get the material right than print the wrong thing twice.
Can you recreate a broken part?
Often, yes. Measurements and a few clear photos are usually enough for us to model a replacement. Where the geometry is genuinely complex, any design work is quoted and agreed with you up front, no surprises on the invoice. The one firm rule: we only print things you have the right to print.
Tell us what you need.
A file, a link, a photo of the broken thing, whatever you've got. We'll come back with an honest price: filament, electricity and a little upkeep. Never a charge for printing time.
